AHOSKIE – Malichi “Mack” Crowder Jones, III, 76, of 106 Clarendon Road, Ahoskie, NC died Saturday, August 8, 2015 at his residence.

Born in Northampton County, he was the son of the late Malichi Crowder Jones, Jr., and Ethel Markham Jones and was the husband of Thelis Richardson Gordon Jones.  He was the owner and operator of H. T. Jones Lumber Company, a member of Ahoskie United Methodist Church, the Lion’s Club, and a Veteran of the U. S. Navy.

Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, William Franklin Jones and wife Michelle of Ahoskie, NC, and James Markham Jones and wife Darleen of Woodland, NC; a sister, Patricia Jones McCracken and husband Guy of Ahoskie, NC; a brother Willard Everett Jones and wife Brenda of Ahoskie, NC; and grandsons, Will Jones, Matthew Jones, and Jack Jones.

A graveside service will be held Friday, August 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Old Hollywood Cemetery in Elizabeth City with the Rev. Bill Haddock officiating.  The family will receive friends from 9:30 until service time at the cemetery and at the residence at other times.  A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Ahoskie United Methodist Church.
