Jim Hedgepeth

CONWAY – James Boyce “Jim” Hedgepeth, 60, died Thursday, July 23, 2015 after several years of declining health. He was a Northampton County native born June 10, 1955 to James Thomas and Patty Ruth Neal Hedgepeth of Conway who predeceased him.

He is survived by his wife, Priscilla, and his children, Megan and Brandon Shoaf of Hertford, James, Jr. “Buddy” and Jenny Hedgepeth of Conwaay, Alvin and Sara Hedgepeth of Murfreesboro, and Samantha Hedgepeth of Edenton.

Papa Jim is also survived by his adorable granddaughters, Lilli and Clara Hedgepeth of Conway, Kendall Hedgepeth of Murfreesboro, and Salter Shoaf of Hertford.

Survivors also include a sister, Ann Parrish, and nephew, Will Mayle, and a special frieind whom Jim considered a brother, John Robert Johnson.

He will be missed by many, including his dogs Zoie and Riley, and his kitty, Kitty.

A visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday July 25 at Bridgers Funeral Home, Inc. 605 West Main St. in Conway and a memorial service for Jim will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26 at Zion United Methodist Church, 205 Zion Church Road, Conway, with the Rev. Susan Harrison officiating.
