MURFREESBORO – Joseph Lee Perry Jr. of Murfreesboro, NC passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015.

He was born March 6, 1959 in Bertie County, NC. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Mizelle Perry.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Marie Perry; his father, Joseph “Gashouse” Perry; his brother, Don Perry (Pam); his five step children, Michelle Conner (Wayne), Michael Powell, Jennifer Powell, J.J. Powell Jr. (Brittany), and Jessica Powell; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Renee, Crystal Marie, Brittney Dawn, Ashley Nicole; his nieces, Brittany Baker and Lisa McCants; and a nephew, Scott McCants.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church in Rich Square, NC with the Rev. Dale Russell officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
