EMPORIA, VA – Geraldine Bryant Phillips, 86, of Emporia, Virginia, died Thursday, May 21, 2015 at her residence. Geraldine was born in Halifax County, NC, daughter of the late Vernon Bryant and Mildred Futrell Bryant.

She was employed with the J.P. Stevens Company and she was a member of the Fountain Creek Baptist Church.

Preceding Mrs. Phillips in death were her sons Howard, Johnny, and Larry Price; and three brothers, Greeley, Ford, and Ray Bryant.

Surviving are three grandchildren, Lisa Starling of Roanoke Rapids, and Johnny and Brian Price, both of Pennsylvania; three great grandchildren, Sasha Woods and her husband, Robert, of Durham, and Daniel and Kalie Smith, both of Roanoke Rapids; and one great great grandchild, Cooper Moore Woods, of Durham.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2015 in the Chapel of Wrenn, Clarke, & Hagan Funeral Home, Roanoke Rapids. Burial will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery.
