MILWAUKEE – Clyde Lee Futrelle, age 85 passed away on May 10, 2015 at Rich Square Health Care Center.

Clyde was born January 8, 1930 in Northampton County, North Carolina, the son of the late William Jordan Futrelle and Bettie Sue Joyner Futrelle. Clyde worked many years in sheet finishing with Champion Paper Company and International Paper.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Nettie Ruth Futrelle of Milwaukee, NC; his children, Terry Futrelle (Mary Lynn) of Como, NC, Betty F. Jones (Danny Bowman) of Milwaukee, NC and Jill F. Owens (Robert) of Como, NC; his sister Margaret Johnson of Pinetops; and his four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Clyde Futrelle will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church in Milwaukee, NC with the Rev. Dr. Suzanne Cobb and the Rev. David Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Milwaukee Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Milwaukee Cemetery Fund.

The family will receive friends at Massey Funeral Home in Jackson, NC on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
