COMO – Debra Ann Leitner, 59, passed away May 3, 2015 at her home. She was born and reared in New Jersey, but had made a home for herself and her three girls in North Carolina.

She was predeceased by her father, Felix Tamborino and stepfather, Jack “Pop Pop” Qualey.

Debra had a love for all animals and farming.  She was brought up Catholic.

Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Ann Qualey of New Jersey; three daughters, Lauren Leitner of Raleigh, and Anna Phipps and Ashley Leitner both of Como; one grandchild, Corey Phipps; one sister, Donna Battista and husband, John, of New Jersey; her brother, John Tamborino of New Jersey; half-brother, Phil Tamborino of Nevada; step-brother, Peter Donnelly of Nevada; uncle, Walter Tatro of New Jersey; and step-mother, Peggy Tamborino of Nevada.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, VA with Fr. Charles Saglio and Rev. Sean Gallagher officiating.  Burial will follow at Buckhorn Baptist Church Cemetery, Como, NC.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, at the funeral home and suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.  www.wrightfuneralhome.org
