WINTON – Faye Vick Pope, 77, formerly of East Cross Street, Winton, died Saturday, April 4, 2015 in her son’s home in Eure.

Mrs. Pope was born in Edgecombe County on October 23, 1937, and was the daughter of the late Burl Leeman and Bertha Taylor Vick.  A homemaker, she was a member of Winton Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. “Bill” Pope; and by a sister, Essie Davis.

Surviving are her daughter, Evelyn Kee and husband Tommy of Courtland, VA; a son, Richard Pope and wife Jackie of Eure; a brother, Larry Vick of Winton; five grandchildren, Christy, Chris, Jennifer, Katie, and Kayla; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside memorial services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Winton Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Joseph Futrell.

Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville, is handling arrangements.
