WINTERVILLE – Fay Williams Hall, 73, died Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at Life Care Hospital in Rocky Mount, NC. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Fay spent her adolescent years in Black Jack surrounded by family. Her family and friends were the most important part of her life.

The funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 3:30 pm in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel.  Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park.

She was married to Oscar “Bobby” Lee Hall for 52 years and he predeceased her by six months. They enjoyed traveling and spending time at home with family and friends.  Their last trip together was to one of their favorite places, the mountains of North Carolina.

Fay was a bookkeeper with Greenville City then Pitt County Schools for more than 20 years. Following retirement, Fay volunteered at W.H. Robinson Elementary School in Winterville. She also taught Sunday School at Winterville Baptist Church for several years.

Fay’s greatest joy was spending time with children, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed many culinary adventures with Jill and Adam who took her to various restaurants throughout Raleigh and Cary. Cole and his GaGa, enjoyed watching movies, playing games, and eating chocolate ice cream.  Two years ago, Fay received another special child in her life with the arrival of Skylar Eubanks, her great niece.

Her parents, Thelma and Johnie D. Williams, Jr, preceded Fay in death.

She is survived by her daughter Deborah (Ken) Mueller of Cary and her daughter Michele (James) Cherry of Rocky Mount. She is also survived by granddaughter Jillian Mueller of Charlotte; and grandsons, Adam Mueller of Baltimore, Maryland, and Cole Cherry. Fay is survived by her brothers Johnie D. Williams, III (Carolyn) of Ayden; Jimmy Williams (Elvie) of Black Jack; and Donnie Williams of Black Jack. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Greenville.
