CONWAY – Rachel Brown Liverman, age 70 of Conway, NC, passed away at her home on Thursday, February 12, 2015.

She was a native of Hertford County born on August 4, 1944 to the late Ernest and Joyce Brown. Mrs. Liverman worked in retail for most of her life including, Ace Hardware in Ahoskie and the Corner Shop in St. Johns, NC to mention a couple. She loved her family very much, as well she enjoyed nature including her love for birds and tomatoes. The family would like to extend a sincere thanks to Kim and Sharon for their loving support.

She was preceded in death by mother, Joyce Mulder Brown; father, Ernest Lee Brown; son, Johnny Jay Liverman; brothers, David Earl Brown and Harvey Edward “Buster” Brown; and partner, Buddy Barnes.

Rachel is survived by her three daughters, Shirley L. Garris and her partner Kenny Lassiter of Conway, NC, Tina Joyner and her husband Andrew of Jackson, NC, and Angel Liverman and her partner Chris Jenkins of Conway, NC; three sisters, Rae Brown Bell of Conway, NC, Joyce Ann Cutler and her husband Lewis of Pantego, NC, and Shirley Jean Brown and her partner Linda Gassaway of Lexington, KY; three brothers, Ernest Lee Brown Jr. and his wife Doris of Midland, GA, Johnny Mac Brown and his wife Teri of Ahoskie, NC, and Robert James “Bobby” Brown of Lasker, NC and his wife Tracy of Ahoskie, NC; three grandsons, Michael Thomas Barnes and his partner Nikki Barnes of Ahoskie, NC, Jesse Ray Liverman and his partner Shannon Lassiter of Ahoskie, NC and Ty Chance Liverman of Ahoskie, NC; four granddaughters, Melissa Courtney Bryant and her husband Chris of Jackson, NC, Kyndall Leigh Jenkins of Conway, NC, and Tina and Ivey Lassiter, both of Rich Square, NC; six great-granddaughters, Kassidy Barnes, Taylor Moore, Hannah Lassiter and Kaitlyn Lassiter, all of Ahoskie, NC, Kayla Hudgins of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and Elizabeth Bryant of Jackson, NC; and one great-grandson, Braydon Bryant of Jackson, NC. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Respecting the wishes of Mrs. Liverman, there will be no public visitation or memorial service.
