GATES – Carroll Y. Padrick, Jr., 89, of Drum Hill Road, Gates, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran of World War II where he received numerous decorations, including the Purple Heart. Funeral services were held on Monday, January 19, 2015 in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main Street, Gatesville. Burial with military honors followed in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 3920 Airline Blvd., Chesapeake, VA.
