AHOSKIE – Edward T. Pierce (Jack) died on Friday January 2, 2015 at Roanoke-ChowanHospital in Ahoskie.

He leaves to mourn his death: his wife, Thelma C. Pierce; daughter: Lynda (Howard); son: Douglas Wayne (LaQuitta); six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister; two brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard after working for 31 years and was a World War II Veteran.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 12 noon at Pleasant Plains Church, Ahoskie, NC. The burial will follow at the church cemetery.
