Claudine H. Outlaw

RICH SQUARE – Claudine Harrell Outlaw, age 81 of Rich Square, passed away on September 26, 2014 at the Rich Square Health Care Center in Rich Square, NC.

She was born on December 14, 1932 to the late William and Martha Cooke Harrell in Bertie County, NC. Claudine owned and operated Claudine’s Restaurant in Rich Square, NC for 35 years. She was a member of St. John Baptist Church. Claudine was a very happy person who was always there for others. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Claudine enjoyed going to Atlantic City and playing Bingo. She was loving and caring to all those that knew her. She will be deeply missed by many.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Jackson Outlaw; her daughters, Connie Dee Outlaw and Lisa Star Outlaw; and two sisters, Pauline Morris, and Ercell Harrell.

Left to cherish Claudine’s memory are three daughters, Kathy Outlaw Whitley and her friend Charles W. Strickland of Rich Square, Patricia Outlaw and her husband Gary Fields of La Grange, NC, and Joey Outlaw Ferguson and her friend Clifton Murphy of Kinston, NC; a sister, Rachel Barnes of Greenville, NC; a brother, Richard Harrell and his wife Penny of Ahoskie, two granddaughters, Angie Lassiter and her husband Billy of Ahoskie, and Brooke Fields of Kinston, NC; four grandsons, Jim Liverman and his wife Casey of Rich Square, Tony Terry and his wife Angel of Rich Square, Woody Terry of Rich Square, and Brad Fields and his wife Carmen of La Grange, NC; two great-grandsons, Evan Lassiter of Ahoskie, and Bryce Terry of Roanoke Rapids, NC; three great-granddaughters, Callie and Cailyn Liverman, and Isabella Terry, all of Rich Square, a special friend, Brenda Spence and her husband Richard of Ahoskie, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life funeral service was held on Monday, September 29, 2014 at the St. John Baptist Church in St. John, NC, with the Rev. Gary Medford and the Rev. Bob Rogers officiating, with burial to follow at Job Cemetery.
