PENDLETON – Foy Barnes Fisher, 87, of Pendleton passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, September 5, 2014.

A service of remembrance was held on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at the Roberts Chapel Baptist Church.  The Reverend Doctor James Crocker will be presiding.

Foy was born on April 17, 1927 and was the youngest of eight children of Georgia and David Barnes. She was a devoted wife and homemaker and a lifelong member of Roberts Chapel Baptist Church.

Foy was preceded in death by her husband, Guy E. “Billy” Fisher; her daughter, Deborah Jeanette Fisher; her son, Guy Edgar Fisher, III; her grandson, Jim Morgan Gresham, Jr.; and her son-in-law, James Morgan Gresham.

She is survived by her daughters, Becky Gresham of Fuquay-Varina, Joan Collins and husband David of Pendleton, and Jill Reed and husband Charles of Hickory; and her grandchildren, Robert Gresham of Mooresville, Rainor Gresham of Raleigh, Guy David Collins and wife Ashley of Fitzgerald, GA, Billy Collins and wife Leslie of Birmingham, AL, Kathryn Reed of Washington, DC, and Patrick Reed of Birmingham, AL.

The family is especially grateful to Pat and Morris Equhart, Dr. Michael Alston, and Lisa Morris for their tireless and devoted care.
