CONWAY – Thomas Watson Piper, 13, of 1517 Doolittle Mill Road, Conway, died Saturday, May 10, 2014 in Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, as the result of an automobile accident.

Thomas was born in Pasquotank County on March 12, 2001 and was a student at Northeast Academy in the Lasker community of Northampton County.

Surviving are his parents, his mother, Stacey Askew and companion Chris Topping of Conway, and his father, Aaron Piper and wife, Amy, of Sunbury; his sister, Addie of Conway; step-sisters, Allison and Nikki of Sunbury; maternal grandmother, Carolyn Askew of Eure; and his paternal grandfather, Richard Piper of Latrobe, PA.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Tommy Askew; and his paternal grandmother, Eileen Piper.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, May 14 at 11:00 a.m. in Eure Christian Church Cemetery by the Rev. Roger Kiker.

Friends may join the family on Tuesday, May 13, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, 304 Main St., Gatesville, or at either parents’ home, his mother at 1517 Doolittle Road, Conway, or his father at 121 Silver Springs Road, Sunbury.
