COLERAIN – Geneva Miller Casper Swain, 94, a resident of the Brian Center, died Sunday, April 27, 2014 at Vidant Bertie Hospital.
She was born in Bertie County on February 2, 1920 to the late Thomas B. and Martha Perry Miller, and was predeceased by her two husbands, Foy Casper and Dewey Swain.
Geneva retired from the Bertie County Schools system. She was a member of Colerain Baptist Church and loved to work in her yard and spend time with her family.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Colerain Baptist Church by the Rev. Gary Saffell. Burial will follow in HillcrestCemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Casper Northcott and husband Carroll of Colerain; sisters, Ruby Bryant of Colerain, and Marnie Winesett of Lynchburg, VA; grandchildren, Lisa Stover of Washington DC, and Karen McCullock of Roxboro; and great grandchildren, Alexander and Andrew Stover, and Matthew, Emily and Noah McCullock.
The family will receive friends from the home of Linda and Carroll Northcott, 308 W. River St., Colerain. Memorial gifts may be made to the Colerain Baptist Church, 202 N. Main St., Colerain, NC 27924.
