Bud Cobb

COLERAIN – Henderson Gray “Bud” Cobb, II, 58, of 112 East River Street, Colerain, died Saturday, April 26, 2014 in his home where he was surrounded by his family.
Mr. Cobb was born in Chowan County on November 9, 1955 and was the son of Jean Outlaw Cobb of Merry Hill and the late H.G. Cobb, who preceded him in death on July 24, 2013.
Described by his family as a “jack of all trades”, Bud could fix anything if it was broken, and make it work better if it wasn’t. He had worked with Hogslat, as an electrician, a carpenter, and most recently as a poultry farmer. He was a member of Merry Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 32 years, Nora Duffy Cobb; his daughter, Callie Cobb Mizelle, her husband Hunter, and their son Bentley Matthew Mizelle of Shawboro; a sister, Deborah C. Hoggard and husband Jim of Merry Hill; two brothers, Jamie Cobb and wife Kristie of Merry Hill, and Jodie Cobb and wife Kim of Greenville; two nieces, Jimi Lenn and Chelsea Hoggard; two nephews, Chase and Ty Cobb; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m. in Merry Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. Stanley Nixon. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery, Edenton. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation at the church the hour prior to services.
Miller Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, is handling arrangements.
