TARBORO – Denzil Thomas Anderson, Sr., 62, passed away Wednesday at his home.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Oct. 20 at  2:00 pm at Sunset Church of God with Pastor Ricky Freeman officiating. Burial will follow in EdgecombeMemorial Park.

Denzil was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Thomas Anderson; and his brother, Kenneth Wayne Waters, Sr.

He is survived by his loving family, including his wife, Denise Anderson; children, Lisa Hansen and husband, Aaron, and their pups, Ibis, and Ava; Paula Turner and husband, Jeff, and their children, Brandon, Megan and Lauren; Denzil Anderson, Jr. and wife, Gwen, and their children, Shelby and Savannah; Richard Lynch and daughter-in-law, Kim Bullock, and their children, Nick Bullock, Rick, Kayla and Jenna Lynch; Kelly Lynch; mother and step-father, Elda and Jack Clayton; sisters, Ann Hastings and Gloria Williams; and a brother, Al Waters.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Carlisle Funeral Home in Tarboro on Saturday from 4:00 – 7:00 pm and other times at the home, 2301 Panola Street, Tarboro.

If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
