Lawrence Wood and Elaine Early Myers celebrated their 50^th wedding anniversary on Sunday, September 1 with a reception at the Garrett House in Ahoskie with more than 200 in attendance. The event was hosted by the Myer’s daughter, Paige, and the families of Robert Earl Brinkley and Ron McSwain. Dr. Chris White, President of Chowan University, provided the entertainment with various musical selections.
