A memorial service will be held for Mildred Vaughan Connor of Charlotte, NC, on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at New Bethany Baptist Church, 1250 NC Highway 561 West, Cofield, (in Harrellsville community) at 1:00 p.m.  The Reverend Cynthia V. Vaughan will be the Eulogist.

Mildred Vaughan Connor was born on May 27, 1946, to Andrew “Jack” and Etta Vaughan in Ahoskie, NC.  After graduating from RobertLVannHigh School she moved to Brooklyn, NY, lived in Summerton, SC, and AthensGA, then returned to Brooklyn before retiring to Concord, NC, in June 2007.

Mildred leaves to cherish her memory, her father, Andrew Vaughan of Ahoskie, NC; her children, Sonya Teresa Connor-Knight (Sydney) of Haymarket, VA, and Stephanie Alexandria Connor-Johnson (Andre) of Charlotte, NC; her grandchildren Nia and Jeremy Knight and Andre Johnson Jr.; her brothers, Elmer (Ethel) Vaughan and Andrew Kirtz (Julia) Vaughan, both of Hampton, VA; her sisters, Dora Satterthwaite of Hampton, VA, Cynthia Vaughan of Wilmington, NC, Vivian Vaughan of Atlanta, GA, Vickie Lynn Walker of Fayetteville, NC, and Sheila (Jamison) Eley of Winton, NC.
