HARRISBURG, PA – Susie M. Nelson, 78, of Harrisburg, PA, formerly of Cofield, NC, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Blue Mountain Nursing Home, Harrisburg.

She was born February 18, 1935 in Cofield, the daughter of the late Hersey F. and Zellor O. (Brown) Sears.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood Nelson; three brothers and three sisters.

Surviving is her son, Linwood E. Nelson, and wife, Terry Smoake Nelson, of Cofield; two granddaughters, Marion Renee Nelson and Morgan Lynn Nelson, both of Cofield; her sister, Mattie E. Hoskins of Harrisburg; her brother, Vernon Sears and wife, Linda, of Dothan, AL; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be conducted Friday, April 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carpenters Shop Church with the Rev. Paul Edwards officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sears Family Cemetery, Cofield.
