BROOKLYN, NY – Wheeler Askew, 81, of Brooklyn, NY, a native of Bertie County, died Thursday, November 22, 2012 at New York Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Zion Hill Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Hunter’s Funeral Home, Ahoskie, is handling the arrangements.
