White, Britton exchange vows

WINDSOR – Christin Amanda White of Windsor and Perry Deans Britton of Colerain were married in Ross Baptist Church on September 29. The Rev.Brian Medlin officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Kyle White, Jr. of Windsor. She is the granddaughter of Ruth Whitaker of Windsor and the late Ralph Whitaker of Windsor, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Kyle White, Sr. of Hexlena, and Dessie White of Hexlena. The groom is the son of Bonnie Britton of Colerain and Donald Britton of Tyner. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. GD Perry of Colerain and the late Mr. and Mrs. William Britton of Lewiston.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The bride chose a dress by the designer, Oleg Cassini. The bride carried a bouquet of hydrangeas and roses accented with peacock feathers.

Miss Nicole White, sister of the bride of Windsor, served as maid of honor. She wore a plum colored one shoulder cocktail dress.

Bridesmaids were Brittany Whitehurst, friend of the bride of Greenville, Abby Pittman, friend of the bride of Plymouth, Dani Davenport, friend of the bride of Conway, and Alicia Bullock, friend of the bride of Plymouth. The bridesmaids wore peacock colored one shoulder cocktail dresses. The maid of honor and bridesmaids carried bouquets of hydrangeas and roses.

The best man was Frank Baker, Jr. of Windsor. The groomsmen were Donald Britton, father of the groom of Tyner, Justin Martin, friend of the groom of Conway, Holden McClenney, friend of the groom of Greenville, and Josh Holland, friend of the groom of Colerain.

Gracie Simmons, friend of the bride and groom, and Madelyn Hoggard, cousin of the bride, were flower girls. Milton Roberts, IV and Joseph Roberts, cousins of the bride, were ringbearers.

Allie Davenport and Rachel Davenport, cousins of the groom, served as program attendants. Wedding music on the piano was provided by Chris Bunch. Vocalist was Angela Walston.

Sharon Rose, aunt of the bride of Conway, served as mistress of ceremony.

A rehearsal dinner and dance was hosted by the groom’s mother with family and friends at The Historic Hope Plantation Heritage Center.

Following the wedding, a reception hosted by the bride’s parents, was held at Cashie Convention Center in Windsor.

Flowers and decorations for the wedding and reception were made and provided by the bride and her family.

The bride is a 2007 graduate of Lawrence Academy and a 2011 graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Information Management Services. She is employed with ECU Physicians. The groom is a 2007 graduate of Lawrence Academy and a 2012 graduate of Miller Motte College. He is employed with Doug Henry in Farmville.

After a honeymoon cruise to Caymen Islands and Cozumel, the couple will make their home in Farmville.

A Miscellaneous Bridal Shower on July 29 was held at Ross Baptist Church, hosted by members of Ross Baptist Church.

A Bridal Luncheon on September 22 was held at the home of Buck and Kathy Perry in Colerain hosted by Bonnie Britton, Delores Benthall, Winnie Matthews, Jill Perry, and Kathy Perry.

A Christmas Shower on December 1 will be held at the home of Holley Young in Windsor, hosted by Jill Perry and Holley Young.
