MURFREESBORO- Roy Chestine Futrell, 73, died Monday, November 12, 2012.

Mr. Futrell was born March 25, 1939 in Northampton Countyto the late Kelly C. and Margaret Mann Futrell.  Mr. Futrell was a member of Ashley’s Grove Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Mr. Futrell was preceded in death by his son, Roy Chestine Futrell, Jr.; and a brother, Kelly C. Futrell, Jr.

Surviving include his daughters, Tina Futrell Ashley of Winton, and Terry Futrell Bridgers of Clayton; his brothers, Larry Wilson Futrell and wife, Earline, and Robert Mann Futrell and wife, Diane, both of Murfreesboro; his sisters, Becky Futrell Edwards and husband, Rudy, of Murfreesboro, and Susie Futrell Willis of Atlantic Beach; his daughter in law, Terry C. Futrell of Ellendale, DE; and his former wife, Alma Futrell of Winton. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Kristen, Lindsey, McCrae, Justin, Tyler, Kasey, Matthew, Brandon, and Cameron; and great grandchildren Reid, Lexi and Audrey.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. at Ashley’s Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. David Ross officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
