COLERAIN – Kenneth Brown, age 74, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice, Greenville.

Kenneth was a loving Pop to everybody, a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.  He was a member of Colerain Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents James Elmer “Doc” and Margaret Elizabeth Lambeth Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Julia O. Brown; his son, Ken Brown and wife, Terry, of Conway; his brothers, Donnie Brown and wife, Freda, of Chesapeake, VA, Richard Brown and wife, Betty, of Weldon, and Alton Brown and wife, Pearl, of Conway; and his sister, Betty Brown of Weldon.

Also surviving are his grandchildren, Allison Satterfield and husband, Alan, of Roxboro, and Colby Brown of Conway; his great grandchild, Brantley Satterfield of Roxboro; and a special niece, Karen McCalvin of Ashland, KY.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012 at Massey Funeral Home Chapel, Aulander, with the Rev. Bob Rogers officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Massey Funeral Home, Aulander.
