Louise Wiggins Rawls

AHOSKIE – Louise Wiggins Rawls, age 78, of Pine Ridge Road, Ahoskie, died Monday, June 18, 2012 at Vidant Roanoke-Chowan Hospital.
A native of Hertford County, Mrs. Rawls was born on September 24, 1933, a daughter of the late Nettie Matthews Wiggins and Cecil Dewey Wiggins, Sr.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Ahoskie where she taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the Ahoskie Women’s Club, and was a Shrinette. She was also a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 291. Louise had retired along, with her husband, as his business partner in his surveying business.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Linwood Lee Rawls, Sr. of the home; a daughter, Debbie Rawls Ross and husband, Scott, of Wake Forest; a son, Linwood Lee Rawls, Jr. of Norfolk, VA; a sister, Nannie Byrum of Menola; and a brother, Robert M. “Bobby” Wiggins of New Port Richie, FL. Mrs. Rawls is also survived by two grandsons, Justin and Cameron Ross.
The family will receive friends at the home on Thursday, June 21, from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. A celebration of life memorial service will be conducted on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Ahoskie with the Rev. Billy Presley officiating.
