Virginia Hicks Smith

FRANKLINTON, NC – Virginia Hicks Smith, age 86, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at the Service League of Inpatient Hospice in Greenville.

“Ginny” Smith was an active member of the Murfreesboro United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Murfreesboro United Methodist Church, 313 West High Street, Murfreesboro.  A reception will follow immediately after the service.  A small intimate graveside service will be held at on Saturday, June 23 at Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton.  Attendees will gather at 11:00 a.m. at Hall-Wynne Funeral Service, 504 East Mason Street, Franklinton, NC .

Survivors include her daughters, Ann Lewis and husband, Mark, and their children, Daniel and Sarah of Fairfax, VA, Peggy Nace and husband, Randy, and their children, Kathryn, Samantha and Jamie of College Park, MD; sons, Lee Etheridge and wife, Shen Lih, and their son, Donald of Dallas, TX, and Spencer Jackson of Biloxi, MS; grandson, Spence Graham and wife, Katey, and their children, Benjamin and James of Houston, TX; brothers, Joe Hicks and wife, Connie, of Greenville, and John Hicks of Murfreesboro; and a sister, Betty Pate and husband, Ken, of Ahoskie.
