JACKSON- Mrs. Geneva Johnson Barrow, age 81, of Jackson, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012 at her home.

Mrs. Barrow was born March 20, 1930 in Hertford County, the daughter of the late Luther Johnson and Georgia Futrell Johnson.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, William H. Barrow.

She was a very faithful member ofJacksonBaptistChurchwhere she was a member of the church choir.

Survivors include her son, William “Billy” Barrow and his wife, Vickie, of Edenton; and her daughter, Jenny Barrow Wells and her husband, John, also of Edenton; her grandchildren, Joshua Wells and his wife, Sarah, Sam Barrow and his wife, Ashley, Ashley Barrow, Joseph Wells and Matthew Barrow; her great grandchildren, Jennifer Wells and Tyler Wells; her siblings, Glenn Johnson, Georgia Bernice Burgess, Alta “Shorty” Lane, Mildred Brown, Pearl Daniels and Mary Bruce Ledden; and her sister-in-laws, Bea Barrow, Jane Boone, Barbara Bridgers and Shirley Barrow.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Jackson Baptist Church with the Rev. Warren Heitlenrator and the Rev. Billy Howell officiating.  Burial will follow atJacksonCemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 18, 2012 beginning at 2 p.m. at the Jackson Baptist Church prior to the service.
