MURFREESBORO –The Murfreesboro Chamber of Commerce will host its 60th Annual Banquet at Whitley’s Barbecue on Monday, March 19.

The public is invited to join in for good food, fun and professional networking as the Chamber honors this year’s annual award winners.

The evening’s agenda begins with a 6 p.m. Social Hour and Silent Auction, to include a business table for showcasing business cards, flyers, and other information to highlight the chamber member’s services. There will be appetizers and musical accompaniment as well.

A delicious buffet dinner will begin at 7 p.m., with the awards presentations and guest speaker, President of Chowan University Dr. Chris White, to follow.

This year’s awards include the Chamber of Commerce Award, the Sammy Doughtie Community Service Award given by Murfreesboro radio station WDLZ-FM, and the Front Page Award by the Roanoke-Chowan News-Herald.

Tickets, available at the Roberts Vaughan Chamber office or from any Chamber Board Member, are $25 per person.  Chamber officials are encouraging employers to invite their employees so that the whole “family” can be there together.
