Myrtle Lee Lassiter Hollowell

VANCEBORO – Mrs. Myrtle Lee Lassiter Hollowell, 65, died Sunday, March 4, 2011.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel at Vanceboro.

Mrs. Hollowell, a native of Hertford County, had spent most of her life in the Vanceboro community where she was employed with Farm Life Florist for 18 years.  She had also worked with several daycare centers and had served as a senior companion and with other volunteer organizations.

She was preceded in death by her father, J. B. Byrum; brother, Dewey Byrum and sisters, Nancy Pierce and Wanda Baggett.

Surviving are her husband, Terry Hollowell; daughters, Charlene Lassiter of Raleigh and Angela Rowe and husband, Greg, of Bridgeton; grandchildren, Tiffany Wilson and Emma Rowe; mother, Nannie Lee Byrum of Menola; sisters, Sue Lewis, Lynn Byrum, Rhonda Earley and Bett Byrum; and brothers, Johnnie Byrum, Bob Byrum and Earl Byrum.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Vanceboro one hour prior to the service.
