AHOSKIE – Doris Jeanette Ambrose Sharp, 79, passed away at her home in the morning of Friday November 4, 2011.

Born on April 16, 1932 inWashingtonCounty, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Bertie Ambrose.

Doris grew up around theAlbemarle Sound. Her fond memories of her childhood inspired her creativity. She was able to recreate these memories through her wonderful paintings.

She was predeceased by her parents; three brothers; five sisters; and her daughter, Jayme Sharp Lawerence.

Dorisis survived by her loving and caregiver husband, William Paul Sharp; sons, William Paul Sharp, Jr. and wife, Sherri, and Mark Sharp and wife, Vicki; five grandchildren, Mark Sharp, Kristy Scheele and husband, Kevin, Ryan Sharp and wife, Katie, Scott Sharp and wife, Jenny, and Matt Lawerence; and three great grandchildren, Peyton, Cameron and Tallula.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Ahoskie. Memorials can be sent to First Baptist Church of Ahoskie PO Box 649 Ahoskie, NC 27910-0649.
