NAPLES, Fl. – William H. “Bill” Vinson, Jr., 87, died on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at NCH Downtown Naples Hospital.

He was born March 26, 1924 in Hertford County to the late Vernie Stephenson Vinson and William Harvey Vinson of Menola.

Mr. Vinson wan an ordained minister and retired from the NC Employment Security Commission in Raleigh, NC. He was a member of United Church of Christ in Naples, FL.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Dorothy W. Vinson of Naples, FL; step-daughters, Deborah Outen and husband, Frank, of Matthews, NC, Jane Barkley and husband, Mark, of Winston-Salem, NC and Irene Kistler and husband, W.E. III, of Morehead City, NC; step-son, Joseph McCauley of Raleigh, NC; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Ernestine V. Northcott of Menola, NC; a niece, Gwen Northcott of Menola, NC; a nephew, Jon Northcott and wife, Judi, of Murfreesboro, NC; and a great niece, Stephanie Northcott of Greensboro, NC.

He was predeceased by a brother, Lee S. Vinson of Mount Airy, NC.

A memorial service will be held at Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh, NC on Saturday, November 26, 2011.
