COMO – Dorothy Mae Gatling, 86, of Como died Friday, June 3, 2011 at Northampton Nursing Rehabilitation.

She was a native of Hertford County.

Survivors include her husband, James E. Gatling of Como; six daughters, Shirley Rogers of Goldsboro, Mable Gatling and Olivia Worthington, both of Como, Elsie Parker and Dorothy G. Sneed, both of Murfreesboro, and Eva Newman of Suitland, MD; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Mill Neck Baptist Church in Como. The Rev. Melvin Wilson will be officiating.

Burial will be in the Mill Neck Baptist Church Cemetery.
