AULANDER – The fourth season of organized youth baseball and softball in Aulander is beginning to take shape.
Those looking for an outdoor activity for their child during the summer months the Aulander Youth League offers a good, clean, wholesome atmosphere for children. The children will have an opportunity to learn the game of baseball or softball as well as make new friendships.
Player registrations for all youth ages five to 18 are being held each Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Aulander Civic Center.
A fee of $35 per player covers the cost of uniform shirts, hat and insurance. A family discount of $25 per player is offered for registering two children from the same household.
Play will begin at the John Asa Drew Field of Dreams on June 6. Each team is scheduled to play two games per week. Each child will participate in every game and be recognized at the opening and closing ceremonies.
