TRAP – Don Northcott, age 61, of Trap died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

He was born April 23, 1948 in Bertie County to the late Virgil I. Northcott and Louise Perry Northcott.

He was a graduate of East Carolina University, worked as Manager for North Eastern Grain, owned and operated Trap Farm Supply and J. and N. Enterprises and was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Mars Hill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Bob Johnson and Rev. Billy Presley will officiate.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 32 years, Marie Northcott; a son, Donald Ray Northcott, Jr. and his wife, Nina, of Trap; a sister, Dale Knowles of Windsor; a brother, Virgil Northcott of Ahoskie; and a grandson Alexander Northcott.

The family will receive friends at the home, 1342 Meadow Road, Trap.

Memorials can be made to the American Diabetes Association or to Mars Hill Baptist Church.
