Barbara Revelle

Barbara Gilliam Revelle, 82, died Thursday, May 27, 2010 at her home near Murfreesboro surrounded by a loving family. She had been preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Thomas Robert Revelle.
A native of Milwaukee in Northampton County, she graduated from high school and began working at Riverside Manufacturing Company in Murfreesboro as a Bookkeeper, remaining there for several years.
After marrying, she and her husband, Robert, began their family and she retired from Riverside to devote her time to the family she loved so dearly and to the family farming operation in which she was actively involved.
She was a member of Ashley’s Grove Baptist Church where she taught the Lydia Sunday School Class for over 20 years and was active in the Annie Armstrong Circle of the WMU.
Survivors include one daughter, Barbara Lynn Revelle and fiancée, Charles Franklin, of Greenville; two sons, Thomas Revelle and wife, Ruth, of Apex and Jerry Revelle and wife, Nancy, of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren, Jonathan Edwards and Douglas Edwards of Greenville, Elyse Revelle and Savannah Revelle of Apex, and Amanda Revelle of Murfreesboro.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 29 at Ashley’s Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. David Ross presiding. Burial will follow in the Milwaukee Cemetery.
