Marie Sharpe, 81, of Woodland died Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at her residence.
She was a native of Northampton County.
Survivors include her children, Joseph K. Sharp of Texas, Johnnie Sharp of Pendleton, Issac Sharp of Ahoskie, Lucille Eley of Ahoskie, Brenda Sharp of Aulander, Lois Goldsberry, Doris Sharp, Patricia Grant, Clarine Sharp, Evelene Stevenson and Melvie Peebles, all of Woodland, Mary Melton and Claudia Blythe, both of Murfreesboro, Earlie Flythe of Conway and Lillie Hawkins of Maryland; two brothers, John H. Lassiter of Conway and James Lassiter of Pendleton; two sisters, Emma Clark of Fayetteville and Essie Vaughan of Murfreesboro; 40 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 30 at Nebo Baptist Church, Murfreesboro, with the Rev. James Brown officiating. Burial will take place in the Lassiter Family Cemetery.
Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, is handling the arrangements.
