Nancy Jackson

Nancy Elizabeth Jackson, age 33, died Sunday, May 16, 2010, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
Nancy Jackson was born in Ahoskie, North Carolina. She was a lifelong resident of Monticello, Georgia. She was a member of New Rocky Creek Baptist Church and attended the Monticello Baptist Church. Nancy graduated from the Campbell University School of Pharmacy in 2000. After graduating, she returned to Monticello where she worked as a pharmacist for Kroger and Monticello Drugs. She was preceded in death by grandfathers, Roger Jackson, Jr. and Edwin Forbes.
She is survived by her son, Benjamin Jackson of Monticello; parents and step-father, Maurice Jackson of Monticello and Joan and Don Chambers of Social Circle, Ga.; grandmothers, Alma Jackson of Weeki Wachee, Fla., and Nancy Forbes of Covington, Ga.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marsha and Dave Abernathy of Jackson, Tenn., Pam and Will Lawrence of Dallas, Ga., and Jessica and J.B. Dial of Dublin, Ga.; brothers, Shannon Sutton of Dallas, and Jared Chambers of Covington; nieces and nephew, Sara Grace Abernathy, Bennett Forbes Abernathy, and Ryleigh Elizabeth Dial; special friends, Debby Cantrell, Vickie Sheppard, and Haley Sheppard, all of Monticello; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at 11 a.m. at the Monticello Baptist Church in Monticello. Burial took place in West View Cemetery in Monticello. Dr. John Whitmire, Dr. Randal Reese, and Dr. Jeff Pangle will officiate.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Leach, Jerry Yancey, Don Parrott, Cliff Forbes, Corey Forbes, Shannon Sutton, Jeremy Ryan and Will Lawrence.
The family will received friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Jordan Funeral Home in Monticello.
