Harold Clayton

Harold Lee Clayton, 82, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Albemarle Hospital.
Born in Kernersville, he was the son of the late John Nelson Clayton and the late Ruth Huneycutt Clayton. He was retired from the textile industry having been involved in the management of several textile companies.
He was a member of Kitty Hawk United Methodist and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict, having proudly served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Clayton is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Wilson Clayton; two daughters, Juanita Clayton of Thomasville and Ann Clayton Nance and husband, David, of Edenton; two sons, Mike Clayton and wife, Joanna, of Huntersville and Steve Clayton and wife, Teresa, of Rustburg, Va.; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church with the Rev. Curtis Campbell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 900, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949.
