Edward Grant, 89, of Aulander died Friday, March 19, 2010 at Guardian Care Nursing Home in Ahoskie.
Born in Northampton County, he was a retired presser from Castellow Cleaners in Rich Square. He was a World War II Veteran of US Army, Veteran of Foreign Wars Post # 09159 and a member of Willow Oak AME Church in Rich Square.
Survivors include his wife, Viola Hardy Grant of the home; a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Grant of Aulander; two sisters, Margaret Walden of Chesapeake, Va. and Marie Drayton of Washington, DC; a grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 27 at Willow Oak AME Church, Rich Square, with the Rev. James Baker officiating. Burial will take place in the Cladie H.R. Ambrose Memorial Gardens, Aulander.
