Thurman Lee Bunch, 68, of Smith Street, Gatesville, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 in Sentara Obici Hospital, Suffolk, Va.
A native of Gates County, he was the retired owner and operator of Bunch Trucking and a member of Reynoldson Baptist Church. He was also involved with Gatesville Masonic Lodge #126 and was a US Army veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Futrell Bunch; three sons, Michael Lee Bunch of Gates, Glenn Lee Bunch of Gatesville, and Troy Lee Bunch of Harrisburg; a brother, Maxie Thomas Bunch of Bath; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 13 at Reynoldson Baptist Church with the Rev. Todd Higginson and the Rev. Billy Presley officiating. Friends may join the family in the church social hall following the service and all other times at the residence.
