David Coggins

David Earl Coggins, 65, of Conway died Monday March 1, 2010 at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville. Mr. Coggins farmed in Northampton County and was widely loved and respected in the Conway community.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Sarah Kay Taylor Coggins of their home; three children, David Mark Coggins and his wife, Meggan, of Roanoke Rapids, Jeffrey Taylor Coggins and his wife, Elizabeth, of Seaboard, and Lori Nicole Coggins of Murfreesboro and her special friend, Andrew Jenkins; and five grandchildren, Sarah Katherine Parker Coggins, Brandall Davis Coggins, Braxton Earl Coggins, William Jeffrey Coggins, and Molly Gail Coggins. He is also survived by four siblings – Vida Rae Warren and her husband, Earl, of Hobgood, Linwood James Coggins and his wife, Lucille, of Conway, Clonnie Leigh Davis of Conway, and Timothy L. Coggins and his wife, Hazel Johnson, of Richmond, VA; and a brother-in- law, John Douglas Blowe, Sr. of Conway.
Mr. Coggins was the son of the late Frank C. Coggins, Sr. and the late Lollie Lassiter Coggins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank C. Coggins, Jr. and his sister, Loretta Faye Blowe.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 4, at 11:00 a.m. in the Town of Conway Cemetery with the Rev. Willie McLawhorn presiding. Honorary Pallbearers for his service will be David’s nephews and nieces, Ronald Warren, Donald Warren, Melissa Coggins Stephenson, Mary Coggins Rowe, Sharon Blowe Long, John Douglas Blowe, Jr., Robert Davis, Brad Davis, and Jonathan Smith.
The family will be receiving friends at the family home.
