Randy Jamal Sloan, 18, of Newport News, Va. died Sunday, February 21, 2010.
Born in Newport News, Va., he was a senior at Warwick High School and a member of Greater Walters AME Zion Church.
Survivors include a son, Raquan Sloan of Newport News, Va.; his mother, Maxine Jackson Sloan of Ahoskie; his grandmother, Francis Jackson of Ahoskie; three brothers, Donald Lamont Sloan of Rich Square, Little Isiah Sloan and Jamal Sloan, both of Ahoskie. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday 26, 2010 at Greater Walters AME Zion Church, 656 28th St., Newport News, Va. with Rev. P.N. Shannon officiating. Burial will take place at the Newsome Family Cemetery in Union.
A viewing and visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
