Carol Lowther, 49, of Suffolk, Va. died Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth, Va.
Born in Nansemond County, Va., she was employed by Louise Obici Hospital as a X-Ray transporter and she was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include her parents, Alverta and Rolenzie Lowther of Suffolk, Va.; a son, Kevin Lowther of Suffolk, Va.; two daughters, Sharonda Lowther and Shanise Lowther, both of Suffolk, Va.; four brothers, Rolenzie Milton Lowther, James Lowther, Frank Lowther and Wayne Lowther, all of Suffolk, Va.; and two sisters, Gail Card and Patricia Riddick, both of Suffolk, Va.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Karl Marshall officiating. Burial will take place in the Howell-Collins Family Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 12 noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18 at the Gates Chapel of Hunter’s Funeral Home.
