Clyde Stallings

Clyde Asa Stallings, 75, of Sandy Cross Road, Hobbsville, died Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at Albemarle Hospital in Elizabeth City.
Born in Gates County, he was retired from the Highway Division of the North Carolina Department of Transportation and a member of Sandy Cross Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Ann Ward Stallings; two daughters, Teresa Bright and Betty Cartwright, both of Hobbsville; four sons, McCoy Stallings and Leonard Stallings, both of Sunbury, Johnny Stallings and Steven Stallings, both of Hobbsville,; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11 in the Stallings Family Cemetery with Minister Oliver Cartwright officiating. Friends may join the family at the home of his daughter, Teresa, 917 Sandy Cross Road, Hobbsville.
