Fannie Faison, 77, of Knightdale died Friday, January 8, 2010 her residence.
Born in Hertford County, she was retired from Roanoke-Chowan Hospital as an assistant dietitian and a member of New Ahoskie Baptist Church.
Survivors include two brothers, George W. Newsome Jr. of Ahoskie and Fernandad Newsome of Hampton, Va.; and three sisters, Bernice Newsome of Washington, DC, Linda Camp of Charlotte and Ernestine Daugh of Chicago, Ill.
A funeral was held on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at Hunter’s Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jerry Stackhouse. Burial took place in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Hunter’s Funeral Home, Ahoskie, handled the arrangements.
