Doris Brown Murphy, 79, of Lewiston died Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at her residence.
A native of Lewiston, she was a member of Church Of God For All People.
Survivors include 11 children: Bernice Murphy of the home, Clarence Murphy of Lewiston, Otis Murphy Jr. of Lewiston, Doris Day of Lewiston, James Murphy of Lewiston, Joyce Sutton of Greenville, Ellen Wiggins of Rich Square, Linda King of Greenville, Jeannette Barnett of Greenville, Eva Divers of Bowie, Md., and David Murphy of the home; 44 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Robert Brown Sr., Herbert Brown Sr. and Blake Horton, all of North Carolina, and James Brown of Pennsylvania.
A funeral was held Sunday, Jan. 10 at Church of God For All People in Lewiston. Rev. Joseph Watson officiated. Burial took place in the church cemetery.
Cherry Funeral Home, Windsor, handled the arrangements.
