William Carlton Ross, 73, of Baltimore, Md. died Thursday, December 10, 2009 at his residence.
Born in Mitchell County, Ga., his family relocated to Ahoskie in 1939 and in 1960 he graduated from East Carolina College.
He was a 1st Lieutenant in the 119th Inf. NCARNG and he worked with the Social Security Office in Baltimore, Md.
Survivors include two brothers, Daniel Ross of Toccoa, Ga. and Larry Ross of Columbia, S.C.
A funeral was held on Wednesday, Dec. 16 at Baker-Harrell-Faircloth Chapel, Moultrie, Ga., with the Rev. Wayne Woods officiating. Burial followed in the family plot at Pinecrest Memory Gardens, Moultrie, Ga.
