Ralph Nixon of Ahoskie died Friday, December 4, 2009 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.
He was a member of the Greater Faith Non-Denomination Church.
Survivors include two sons, Ralph Nixon Jr. of Atlanta, Ga. and Derrick Gatling of Ahoskie; a daughter, Cynthia Diane Nixon of Ahoskie; a brother, Eugene Nixon of Ahoskie; three sisters, Christine Riddick, Barbara Nixon and Cynthia Joyner; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held from 2-7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 11 at Reynolds Funeral Home, Ahoskie.
A funeral will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, Dec. 12 at Canaan Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Elton Hall officiating. Burial will take place at the Sessoms Family Cemetery, Ahoskie.
Saunders Funeral Home, Smithfield, is handling the service arrangements.
