Daisy Earlene Vaughan, 87, of Murfreesboro died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at her residence.
She was a native of Hertford County.
Survivors include a son, William Earl Vaughan of Washington, D.C.; five daughters, Daisy B. Gallo of Murfreesboro, Lillie Powell of Murfreesboro, Annie Whyte of Maryland, Emma Newsome of Murfreesboro and Sharon Vaughan of Conway; 15 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 at New Haven Baptist Church with the Rev. Lloyd Gatling and the Rev. Dr. James W. Shearn officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
Hertford County Undertakers, Winton, is handling the arrangements.
