GATESVILLE – The tradition continues.

On Wednesday, November 25, the Gates County Community Center sponsored its annual Senior Citizens Thanksgiving dinner.

All the food was donated, including chickens from Perdue and desserts from the women of Zion Methodist Church.

The Future Teachers Club and varsity basketball team members of Gates County High School helped serve.

Dr. Zenobia Smallwood, superintendent, and Randy Martin, high school principal, were also on hand to help serve food.

The Center served 88 seniors and sent home many plates as well.

This has been a community event for approximately eight years.
